Come’n’Try and OzBow conclude on Sunday 14 December 2025
Club Christmas Shoot will happen on Sunday 21 December 2025, shooting starts at 9:30am.
The shoot will use club equipment and will be a fun, casual way to celebrate what has been another huge year! A free BBQ for all members will happen at conclusion of the shoot. Festive attire is encouraged but not essential (closed footwear a must as always!). Keep an eye out for RSVP/registration for the event.

Diversity and Inclusion
The committee is working hard to identify physical and governance gaps at the club that create disproportionate challenges for some members. We are incredibly proud of our diverse archery community, and as such, we are working to improve our physical environment and policies / procedures and messaging. We won’t always get it right, but we will try our best to make steps in the right direction to close these gaps. We are keeping Archery ACT in the loop as these initiatives are developed and implemented in the hope this will positively influence diversity and inclusion across our ACT archery community.
An Acknowledgement of Country has been developed and will be very shortly added to our webpage and social media presences. This will also be posted at the club.
Acknowledgement of Country
Tuggeranong Archery Club acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognizes the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We acknowledge the Ngunnawal people, the traditional custodians of the beautiful land, waterways and sky on which we shoot. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.
We have noted the loose gravel which was added to the main range thoroughfare after some major electrical work during the middle of the year makes access to the ranges difficult for anyone with altered gait or using assistive mobility devices in many ways, shapes and forms. Works to rectify this area and create a sturdy surface to increase accessibility will occur prior to February 2026.

Committee Changes
Rachel Grant our fantastic co-Recorder/Registrar and committee member (previously a fantastic canteen manager too!) has made the difficult decision to stop driving past Weston Valley Archery Club multiple times a week to come to TAC. As such, she has sadly stepped away from her committee and club positions. We thank Rachel for her fantastic contributions to TAC and wish her all the best for increased time shooting at WVAC. The committee position has been filled, and Cherie Theyers remains our club Recorder/Registrar. Cherie has offered training / insight to anyone who may be interested in a future registrar / recorder role. If this is you, please contact either the registrar or recorded email addresses to organise some time gaining invaluable knowledge from Cherie.
Website Upgrades
Our website has been a bit tired for a while, and many of you are aware our club email system has been suboptimal. Our Webmaster has identified a solution which will upgrade our website and improve our email systems. Rectification and refreshing works will commence over the Christmas period, so please bear with us if you find the website or email replies are lacking.
Did you know….
· TAC is one of the largest archery clubs in the country (and arguably the most diverse!)
· As a member, you have 24/7 access to the range? Two of our archers are regularly at the range at 2am to shoot around their shifts!
· We support a different kind of shooting – astrophotography! Keep an eye on our socials for some shots!
