As you may be aware, Tuggeranong Archery Club is hosting multiple archery and fencing events during the Australian Masters Games running 18-25 October 2025. We have tried to minimise disruption so far as reasonably practicable wherever possible. Safety will always be our first priority, as such, there will be impacts to various ranges at TAC over the weeklong period.
Please see below the known and expected impacts of events at the club.
Where a range is noted as closed, this is non-negotiable to uphold our safety requirements for all participants and volunteers. Members found to be utilising ranges when they are closed may be subject to disciplinary processes in accordance with the TAC Rules and Values and Behaviours statement.
Saturday 18th October
Due to Fencing events, limited parking is expected at the club.
Sunday 19th October
Due to Fencing events, limited parking is expected at the club.
Monday 20th October
Due to Fencing events, limited parking is expected at the club.
Regular Monday evening archery in the hall is cancelled – members are welcome to utilise the range in lieu of the hall (thank you daylight savings!).
The field course will be CLOSED for general use by TAC members to accommodate final Field event preparations.
Tuesday 21st October
The field course will be CLOSED for general use by TAC members due to Australian Masters Games Field competition.
Limited parking is expected at the club.
Members should be aware that the AED will NOT be in the hall during this period, and users of the club undertake their activities aware that the AED will be located at the Field course for the day.
The Traditional Bhutanese range and TAC Clout range will be CLOSED due to preparations for the Clout event. This is due to safety requirements for overshoot allowance on both ranges.
Wednesday 22nd October
All ranges will be CLOSED (inclusive of the Bhutanese ranges) to TAC members due to pack down from the field event, set up for the indoor event and active Australian Masters Games Clout event. We expect greater than usual movement of volunteers and visitors across the ranges and closing is the only safety and controllable option for all.
Limited parking is expected at the club. Members should be aware the AED will NOT be in the hall during this period. The AED will be located at the Clout range for the day.
Wednesday night indoor league is cancelled due to preparations for the Indoor event.
Thursday 23rd October
The indoor range will be CLOSED to TAC members due to the Australian Masters Games Indoor event.
Limited parking is expected at the club.
We expect to resume normal club operations no later than Saturday 25th October 2025.
The TAC Committee would like to sincerely thank you for your patience, assistance at working bees and understanding as we work to make this event, and your experience at TAC safe, accessible and inclusive. Without events like the Australian Masters Games, the Club would not be able to generate the revenue required to maintain (and improve) our club for the benefit of all.
If you have any queries or concerns about the above, please contact secretary@tuggeranongarchery.com.au in the first instance.
