Wednesday Indoor League
The Wednesday Indoor League runs every Wednesday, over 10 weeks with points being accrued or lost each week, based on how well you shot (according to your handicap).
The First season always starts on the first Wednesday of Feb, and each season runs for 10 weeks, with a 2 week break in between seasons, all the way to the end of the year. (Usually the week before Christmas)
At the end of the 10 weeks the person with the most points wins $100 and the runner up wins $50.
Medals are also awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in compound, recurve, barebow and handicap. (However, you must shoot at least 4 weeks to be eligible for prizes)
Competition runs from 7pm to 9pm but the hall will be open for practice from 5pm.
Competition costs $10 per week or $75 for all 10 weeks but practice is free to TAC members.
There are 5 QRE’s (qualifying and ranking event) during the season. Event judges will preside over these so no national records will be accepted. This is to take the strain off our national judges.
Please feel free to join in as indoor is a great way to hone your skills and is a lot of fun to boot. All shoots this season are 3 arrow ends at 18 meters on a 40cm face.
If it’s your first time at indoor archery, don’t worry because we have all been there once ourselves, and we will be more than happy to guide you through.
