Qualifying Ranking Events (QREs)

Qualifying and Ranking Events (QREs) were developed to provide competitors with additional opportunities to shoot scores needed for ranking and selection in National and International teams. Tournaments are often long and require travel, whereas QREs can be held at the local club and are less time consuming.

Registered QREs appear on the Archery Australia calendar where entry details can be found. A single QRE can be one or two rounds, and held over one or more days. Only certain rounds may be shot at a QRE.

QREs are available for Target, Field and Indoor for recurve, compound, longbow, barebow recurve and barebow compound. It should include appropriate age divisions.

Although QREs were developed for elite archers to obtain qualifying and ranking scores, they are open to archers of all abilities and are an ideal introduction to competition for novice archers. They are an excellent way to learn about official scoring and general rules of competition.
